Kurds share sounds of homeland at German music festival

The Nishtiman Group recently performed traditional Kurdish music at a music festival in the German city of Ruhrstadt.

They were among 160 groups and 1,000 artists playing.

Nishtiman, which means homeland in Kurdish, has band members from all parts of Kurdistan.

The music brought some of the attendees to tears and allowed them to the hear to joy and sadness the Kurdish nation has endured.

This kind of music kept our culture a live while the 5000 mosques in Iraqi Kurdistan built by Arabs money are destroying our culture and erasing our identity.
