Kurds turn to tradition at annual Rawanduz Day Festival

By Bextiyar Qadir 12/4/2018
=
People came from across the region to enjoy the traditional activities featured at the Rwanduz Day Festival.

The Rwanduz Day Festival brings Kurdish people back to their roots, enjoying traditional dance and music and allows them to purchase rugs, cloths, decorations and food items made by hand that are losing popularity with the advance of technology.

Photos of famous artists from greater Kurdistan were also on display as the festival takes on not only a traditional role, but an artistic one as well.

A tourist destination in Kurdistan, Rwanduz attracts thousands annually to enjoy the vast mountain ranges and valleys along with natural springs and waterfalls.
