ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Iran’s Supreme Leader has described Kurdistan’s independence referendum as an act of “treason” that must be confronted.

Ayatollah Khamenei made his comments in a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Tehran on Wednesday.

“Iran and Turkey should take every possible step in confronting this (referendum); and the Iraqi government must also seriously decide on it and act,” he said, according to his website.

He asserted that the referendum was a Zionist plot that benefits the United States.

Erdogan is in Iran discussing Kurdistan’s referendum as well as bilateral relations. They have agreed to increase economic cooperation as well as joining forces to address major issues in the Islamic world.

The Turkish leader met with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani earlier in the day. In a joint news conference they vowed to isolate the Kurdistan Regional Government if they pushed forward towards independence.

I had a dream. In it there was a devil under each hair on Khamenei's face! He also seemed to have blood all over his hands. In the dream there were three kurdish Kolbars looking at him. The dream finished with him going to a mosque preaching to people how to be decent!!

Kurdistan's independence has been on the table long before Israel came into existence. Everybody knows that. It has become a joke. Turkey and Iran's presidents know that very well but they need something to say to their people to justify what they are doing. This is a sign of frustration as they know very well they cannot attack Kurdistan. The matter is out of their hands. Kurdistan is now a ball of fire. It will burn anyone who even thinks of attacking Kurdistan. The Jennie is out of the bottle - unstoppable. Just WAIT, SEE AND LEARN.

Iran’s supreme criminal godless fascist leader has no right, no reason, nothing at all to describe and talk about Southern Kurdistan People’s self-determination referendum on sovereign independence from bloody, hostile, deadly and tragically failed Iraqi arab islamic federation. His disgusting anti-Kurdish comment is true treason before God. Godless leaders and their godless supporters have no right to live among the charitable Kurds, to intervene into the sovereign affairs of the charitable Kurdish people.
