Autumn colors set Hawraman ablaze
As winter encroaches on the Kurdistan Region, robbing the deciduous trees of their last red, yellow, and gold leaves, Hawraman on the Iran-Iraq border has been set ablaze with color.
Hawraman draws tourists from far and wide to walk in its mature woodland, climb its rugged mountain slopes, and explore its historic towns.
The area is also a breadbasket for the Region, famous for its pomegranates, figs, and walnuts.
