Kirkuk unveils giant Peshmerga statue to honor sacrifices for the land

A giant statue of a Peshmerga has been unveiled at the gates of Kirkuk city, to honor the Kurdish Peshmerga forces and especially those who lost their lives fighting ISIS in the past three years.
The statue which is 21 meters high and 12 meters wide is made of heavy cement and steel.
It is made by a Kurdish sculptor and cost close to $60,000 which is paid for by a Kurdish businessman.
City authorities hope that in the future the site becomes a main Peshmerga monument.
