In pictures: A visit to Khanaqin's Kawzinal by cable car
By Sartip Othman
The remote village of Kawzinal is accessible by a cable car built by locals because the terrain in the area makes it difficult to build a direct road.
Most of the village’s daily traffic is in the simple cable car rigged across the Sirwan River. The cable car moves across the river by pulling a rope. It has shortened the route into the village from 60 km to 20 km.
Kawzinal village is located in Maydan town on the Sirwan River in Khanaqin, Kurdistan Region.
