Some 477 families, numbering nearly 2,000 people arrive at Chamakor Camp in the Nineveh Plains on the Khazir Front on Sunday alone.
The camp provides shelter to people fleeing the right bank of Mosul, according to Rizgar Obeid, supervisor of Mosul Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Kurdistan Region.
Obeid added it is expected a large number of people will continue to flood into the camp.
“Since the start of the Mosul until Sunday, more than 66,000 IDPs have been based in Hassan Sham, Khazir, Sewdinan and Chamakor Camps,” he said.
