Displaced students of Mosul and other areas of Iraq are taking final exams in the Kurdistan Region’s camps.
There are 1,430 students sitting 6th grade exams in the Khazir, Hassan Sham, and Chamakor camps.
On Wednesday, Nobel peace laureate and education advocate Malala Yousafzai visited displaced Iraqi children studying and taking exams in sweltering hot tents. She grieved for the many who have not been able to study.
“We should not ask children forced to flee their homes to also give up their education and their dreams,” Yousafzai stated on her website.
