Italy behind Kurdistan in ‘common challenge’ of fighting ISIS

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Italy stands behind Kurdistan in the “common challenge” of fighting the Islamic State (ISIS) group, visiting Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti said in Erbil.

“In order to halt ISIS we had to support the Kurdistan region, since we feel it is a common challenge,” she told Kurdish President Masoud Barzani in a meeting on Wednesday.

Pinotti, who was on a short two-day-visit to Iraq to assess the joint operations against ISIS across the country, praised the Kurdish defense against ISIS, which she described as “foes of the civilized world.”

Barzani also congratulated Italy for its role in supporting Kurdistan’s Peshmerga forces and called on Arab and Muslim countries to “fight ISIS both militarily and ideologically.”

“Without openly referring to any country, he said: “some countries made a mistake in capitalizing on terror (organizations) in pursuit of their regional rivalries.”

“Terror is a genuine threat and in the end it will harm these countries and everybody else,” he warned.

US officials have in the past criticized both Turkey and Saudi Arabia for sponsoring ISIS in Syria, though Ankara and Riyadh have categorically rebuffed the accusations.

Italy is a member of the US-led coalition against ISIS and has sent both arms and trainers to Kurdistan’s Peshmerga forces.

Mr. Barzani all the civilized world would like to see an independent sovereign Kurdistan (except the Kurds who refuse to unite) and they love those Kurdish female fighters of the Kobane who fought against the ISIL Muslim savage criminals for the Kurdish honor and land. Would you please ask help from all the Kurds & create an army under one command for to defend the Kurdistan, I would like to see you go down to the history as creator of the independent sovereign Kurdistan with Hade blesing. Please be creative, humble and think future Kurdistan beyond & above of the KRG borders, and by doing that you will make the Kurds became one with the love of the Kurdistan & Hade.

It is true that both Turkey and Saudi Arabia are supporting the IS,but Iran is pursuing a sinister agenda to halt the Kurdish independence.Iran is acting through Baghdad and some Kurdish parties like the PUK,Gorran and the PKK.Nevertheless ,we will turn this war in our war of independence.Long live the Kurdish nation, long live peshmerga, long live Barzani.

It is time for the US-led Western coalition to stand behind Southern Kurdistan, urging other world leading powers and regional states to recognize sovereignty of this in-fact already independent country. It is necessary to acknowledge at last that Iraq and Syria are failed states, which need international collective peacekeeping assistance in order to overcome all disastrous catastrophic consequences of civil wars, radical terrorism and religious extremism. The Iraq-Syria region needs new sovereign borders of newly established neighboring states. One of those new states should be first of all Kurdistan.

The name of this town has always been "Kobani." I challenge anyone to show me the evidence that the false name "Kobane" existed before 2011.
