Meet the American attorney who is promoting Kurdish cause in Washington

By Namo Abdulla 18/8/2016

WASHINGTON – Brian Abbas is an American attorney based in Washington, D.C. He hails from a Kurdish father and an American mother.

What keeps Brian occupied these days, is not just his legal work, but also a voluntary lobbying effort he has taken on to represent the his father’s ethnic group, the Kurds, who constitute the most effective force fighting the Islamic State (ISIS) in the embattled country of Syria.

In this interview Brian explains why he feels the need to promote the Kurdish cause in the US capital and explain whether the Kurds can have more influence on US policy makers.

Why are we giving air time to some rich lawyer whose father is only in it for himself? Who cares?!
Reber | 19/8/2016
Who's "we" Igziber? are you pretending to be a Kurd? I can assure you that we Kurds are very interested in learning about such wonderful individuals who work for their people.
