It may shock foreign visitors to see savers and business owners arriving at this exchange with enormous bricks of currency bundled in plastic bags – convinced, it seems, they will not be robbed.
Some Arab traders say they prefer to use Erbil’s currency exchange, grateful for its security and honesty.
