The mothers of Loghman Moradi and Zanyar Moradi, two Kurdish men from the city of Mariwan in Iranian Kurdistan plead with Iranian judicial authorities and the people of their city to save their sons from imminent execution.
In two separate video clips the Moradi mothers say their sons are innocent and have committed no crime. The mother of Loghman Moradi beseeches the main preacher of Mariwan to pardon their sons.
Loghman and Zanyar Moradi, two cousins—were arrested by the Iranian police in 2009 and charged with the assassination of the son of the preacher of Mariwan in 1988.
Zanyar Moradi’s mother says in her video recording, “They took Zanyar on Wednesday to the army prison. They said they would take them for some questioning but they told them that they will be hanged on Saturday.”
