ERBIL, Kurdistan Region- A Kurdish official has said on Thursday that the Islamic State militants, also known as ISIS, have exploded Mosul University’s Faculty of Agriculture buildings in South of Mosul.

Saeed Mamuzini, a Kurdistan Democratic Party official in Mosul told Rudaw "ISIS militants have exploded buildings of the University of Agriculture campuses - Alil town Southern Mosul, that was previously used by ISIS as a military camp."

ISIS militants launched an attack on a Shabak Kurdish village in Mosul, and arrested 7 civilians and took them to unknown place. The militants have taken the cellphones from the people, Mamuzini stated.

According to the KDP official, militants have gunned down some ISIS members who have tried to escape.

Mosul fell to the ISIS militants on June 10. The defeat was a humiliation for the Iraqi Army, with many troops known to have abandoned their weapons and uniforms as they fled the ISIS onslaught.

The words "adaptable and flexible" appearently doesn't fit all IS actions.

I really dont get the mosul people.. There are like 1 millions of people living there.. why they dont take arms against Isis? It seems like they really enjoy life under Isis.

The secret to ISIS dominance is not only the rooting of their ideology in the Islamic religion, but also their extensive intelligence network that allows them to uncover plots before they are able to gain a critical mass.

It would be interesting to know the current food supply situation in the ISIS territory.. I doubt the areas under their control can supply enough food for the populations that are living there? Where is ISIS getting their food supplies from?

Its like theNazis in the 30s. Very few of the population thought it a great idea but the penalties to speak out were immense and organized resistance was impossible. To defeat this human malaise you need to detect and remove very early...like garden weeds. No emotion of superiority...unemotional problem solving.... The scourge of this ideology simply needs to be remove no matter what the cost...loke WW2. Reluctance due to cost makes the end price even greater.
