“Due to a smart missile attack by ISIS, a fighter of the YPG was killed and another wounded, in addition to two British soldiers,” an SDF official told Rudaw.
The two British soldiers are in a stable condition, he added.
Britain's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has not commented on the reports.
British special forces are on the ground in northern Syria, although the MoD has not disclosed details.
A British soldier was killed in Syria in March 2018 by a roadside bomb while carrying out an operation in Manbij. Sgt Matt Tonroe was killed alongside an American soldier. He was the first British soldier killed in the war against ISIS.
