In pictures: Muslims, Christians visit holy site in Shaqlawa

By Rudaw 14/4/2018
The shrine and cave of Rabanboya , also known as Wso Rahman is situated in Shaqlawa.

Shaqlawa is located just 50 kilometers (31 miles) north of Erbil at the foot of the Safeen Mountains.

Christians know the cave as Rabanboya, while Muslims call it Sheikh Wso Rahman.

Once the Safeen Mountains are reached, it takes approximately an hour to hike up to the top where the shrine can be found.

It is viewed as a sacred place by both Muslims and Christians alike and many people on religious pilgrimages visit this site annually.
