Sixteen mountain bikers from across Kurdistan took part in the first ever mountain bike race in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region on Thursday. The race was held on Sulaimani’s Goizha Mountain. Some of the trails on the 5-kilometre route had been damaged in the recent heavy rains that washed out parts of the dirt tracks. Five riders were injured.
