The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said a Turkish drone hit a vehicle near a cement factory on Qamishli-Derik (al-Malikiyah) main road, wounding and killing four people.
The media outlets close to the Kurdish administration in Rojava reported five injuries.
Turkey has recently intensified its attacks on the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria.
The UK-based war monitor also said that Ankara has carried out 24 airstrikes against the Kurdish forces in Rojava since the beginning of this year, resulting in the deaths of 32 people.
Turkey has conducted three offensives against the People’s Protection Units (YPG), backbone of the SDF, since 2016, and it has recently threatened to carry out a fresh military campaign against them in the near future. Ankara claims that the YPG is the Syrian offshoot of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) - armed group struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey but listed as a terrorist group by Ankara.
The SDF on Wednesday rejected Turkey’s claims that 41 of its fighters were killed in Turkish drone strikes in northern Syria, saying the number is five.
