Miss Asia crowned in Erbil

In a ceremony in Erbil attended by a large group of Kurdish and Lebanese public figures including the renowned Arab media personality, Sawsan Sayid, for the second time Asil Al Ahmari was crowned, this time as Miss Asia. The ceremony was managed by the Onex Group.
 
In the start of the event several announcements were made, followed by a photo opportunity with the fans of Miss Asia. There were also Kurdish song performances as she presented a number of Kurdish designed traditional outfits.
  
Later in the event, there were photo opportunities with Miss Asia as the fans showed their support for her. Miss Asia plans to present a number of projects in Kurdistan region.
  
The manager of Onex Group who directed the event is from Syria. He moved the Crowning event to Erbil to celebrate the Kurdish New Year, Newroz, and other notable Kurdish dates in March in Kurdistan region.
  
Asil Al Ahmari was named Miss Arab in 2015 and Miss Asia later. She is from Lebanon and plans to conduct several charity projects in Kurdistan region.
