Rudaw crew hospitalized after car accident in southeastern Turkey

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — A Rudaw Media Network team en route to cover a business story had a car accident between Siirt and Batman province in Turkey.

The team has received initial medical treatment at a hospital in the town of Kozluk and then was referred to another hospital there.

Reporter Mashala Dakak was among the crew.

Their car skidded and then overturned due to a wet road.

The province is located in the southeast of Turkey, just north of Sirnak and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq’s province of Duhok.
