Kurdistan Region election posters plaster the streets of the capital

Parliamentary election campaigning was heated in Erbil on the first day. Only the KDP held a rally to introduce its candidates in the Iraqi capital.
The KDP was the last party to hold a rally introducing its candidates for the Iraqi parliamentary election, but the first in Erbil to do so for Kurdish parliamentary election.
The streets of Erbil are covered with banners and photos of candidates.
The campaigning will last until September 28.
There are 773 candidates vying for 111 seats.
