Suicide bomber hits Qamishli security headquarters

QAMISHLI, Syria - A suicide attacker hit Qamishli security headquarters on Sunday, killing at least two security officials and wounded four others, Ashti Tishi, Rudaw’s correspondent reported from the scene of attack.

“The attack was carried out by an Arab suicide attacker, wearing a military uniform,” the reporter said, adding that there were gunshots prior to the bombing.

No group has immediately claim responsibility for the Sunday’s attack, but Syria's ethnically Kurdish region of Rojava has been the site of brutal ISIS terrorism several times this year. Qamishli is the largest city in Rojava.

During Kurdish New Year celebrations in March, ISIS launched out two major attacks against civilians in Hasaka, another major city in Rojava, killing at least 45 civilians and wounding 73 others.
