Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast attendees visit Lalish
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - The first Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast was held in Erbil earlier this week.
Dozens of religious figures around the world, who had been invited for the event, visited Lalish Temple in Duhok province on Wednesday.
Some of them had prior knowledge about Yazidis, while others had limited information.
Together they said prayers for good, and showed solidarity with the Yazidis.
“These are all academic and political personalities from within European parliaments and the world, within political parties, at the global level. It is necessary for the world to get to know us closely through these personalities and to understand what the living conditions and religious freedom in Kurdistan are like,” Karim Suleimani, a Yazidi figure, told Rudaw.
