Wednesday was the 31st anniversary of the death of Idris Barzani, the brother of former President Masoud Barzani and father of Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.
He died of a heart attack at the age of 43.
Idris Barzani is remembered as a humble man who helped to broker an agreement between the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), forming the Kurdistani Front.
