Regional flight bans places significant pressure on Duhok border crossing
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has prompted several countries, including Iraq, to impose flight bans. As a result, many residents of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region who are returning from abroad are flying into Kurdish cities in southeastern Turkey and then entering the Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province by land. This surge in overland travel has placed significant pressure on the Habur-Ibrahim Khalil border crossing between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region.
