Van tourism suffers major blow due to Israel-Iran conflict

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has significantly affected the tourism sector in the Kurdish province of Van in southeast Turkey as it borders with Iran. The city hosted 700,000 Iranian tourists last year. But after the conflict started last Friday, Van's tourism suffered a major blow. Tourism has stopped by 90 percent. Van's hotels are 75 percent empty.
