ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - United States and Israeli forces expanded their aerial and missile campaign across western Iran (Rojhelat) on the fourth day of the war between the two sides, striking a growing number of security and military installations, with a particular focus on border regions.
According to confirmed reports, targets across the Kurdish cities of Urmia and Sanandaj, as well as the Kurdish‑majority provinces of Kermanshah and Ilam and the predominantly Luri province of Lorestan, included bases belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Border Guard units, both within urban centers and in surrounding villages.
Ilam province
Since early Tuesday morning, military bases, missile sites, and air defense positions across Ilam province have been bombarded by aircrafts. The intelligence directorate and the police command center at Beheshti Square in Ilam city were struck multiple times, along with several IRGC facilities, including the provincial command known as the Amir al-Mu'minin Corps.
A resident told local media that loud explosions were heard and that the IRGC command was hit at least five times.
Official media in Ilam reported that two Iranian soldiers were killed after military bases in Sirvan were targeted. Provincial outlets also said that a teacher and two students from Ilam province were killed in US and Israeli attacks over the past few days.
Social media posts indicated that residents of Ilam, Mehran, and Sarableh were fleeing urban areas.

West Azerbaijan province
Several locations in West Azerbaijan’s Kurdish city of Urmia were struck by aircraft and missiles on Tuesday. Media reports, some confirmed by Rudaw, said IRGC headquarters, Basij centers, and Border Guard command facilities were targeted. There were also unconfirmed reports of strikes on the intelligence directorate and the Revolutionary Court building.
The IRGC public relations office said a missile hit a residential home in the Qasimiyeh neighborhood, killing an elderly man and woman. An IRGC barracks at Razhan intersection in the Margavar region was also targeted, with local residents reporting at least seven IRGC members killed.
In Oshnavieh, IRGC command and intelligence centers, bases in Nalas and the village of Naliwan, and the court building were targeted. The IRGC said a civilian home in Oshnavieh was struck, killing an entire family.
Rudaw confirmed at least one civilian death and several injuries in the province, though casualties among security forces have not been officially disclosed.
Strikes also continued in Mahabad and Piranshahr, where IRGC and police bases were targeted. Powerful explosions were reported in and around Mahabad, including at a Basij base in the city center and at IRGC positions in the Tapeh Qazi neighborhood and the village of Gok Tapa.
Kurdistan province
Military and security sites in Sanandaj city in Kurdistan province remained under bombardment. On Tuesday night, the provincial police command center at 12 Farvardin Square was hit multiple times. The IRGC command center, a Basij base, and Police Station No. 14 in the Baharan neighborhood were also struck, along with a target in the Sa'adi neighborhood.
Lorestan province
In Lorestan, several sites in Borujerd and Kuhdasht were targeted, including IRGC and Iranian Army bases. State media reported that a Red Crescent emergency station on the Khorramabad-Borujerd road was hit, injuring four people.
The Martyrs Foundation in Borujerd said three IRGC and Army officers were killed. In Kuhdasht, three people were reported dead and another injured.
Some residents of Khorramabad left for nearby villages, though local police denied reports of a wider evacuation.
Kermanshah province
In Paveh, IRGC bases were heavily bombarded, with reports saying the main base was completely destroyed. Published accounts indicated several IRGC members were killed, along with at least two civilians who were near the site.
Explosions were also reported in Kangavar, though the specific targets remain unclear. In Kermanshah city’s Danesh neighborhood, reports suggested that an IRGC ammunition depot was struck.
Iranian authorities have not regularly released casualty figures, making it difficult to verify the total number of victims. Ongoing internet disruptions have further limited the flow of information, raising the possibility that additional details about the strikes may yet emerge.
