ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - On the fourteenth day of the war between Iran and the US-Israel coalition, more than 100 locations in and around Tehran were targeted on Thursday.

From Thursday morning until midnight, more than 30 locations in Tehran were struck by aircraft and missiles.

According to a statement from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Thursday, five Israeli and American drones were downed by Iran’s air defense systems. The statement added that since the beginning of the war, Iran’s air defenses have intercepted 114 US and Israeli drones.

Also on Thursday, Iran and Islamic Resistance groups affiliated with Tehran carried out attacks targeting several locations in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.

Tehran

Between 3:00 am and 6:00 am on Thursday, dozens of neighborhoods and major streets were bombed. Videos circulating online and media reports indicated that some targets were struck three to four times, with explosions described as louder than on previous days.

At the same time, several targets near Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport were attacked.

Thursday afternoon in the Khavaran area of Tehran, near the burial ceremony of eight members of Iran’s security forces, a drone exploded. Also opposite Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, a location reported to be a base of the special police force was targeted.

Later Thursday in Tehran, explosions were reported at the Vali Asr intersection and near the site of the al-Quds Day march. Several blasts also occurred on Fatemi Street and near the building of Iran’s interior ministry.

Thursday night, Tehran and surrounding cities were again struck by aircraft. According to available reports, locations across the neighborhoods of Chitgar, Gisha, Aqdasiyeh, Navab, Sattar Khan, Niavaran, Ekbatan, Lavizan, Shahrak-e Gharb, Saadat Abad, Moniriyeh, Nobonyad, Hakimieh, and Mehrabad were targeted. Strikes were also reported in the Lavasan area of Shemiranat.

Media reports said buildings belonging to Iran’s Ministry of Defense and a major traffic police checkpoint on the Tehran-Karaj highway were among the sites hit.

Tehran vicinity

Thursday night, several locations in western Karaj city, Mehrshahr in Alborz province, and Eslamshahr in Tehran province were also targeted.

Air defense system bases and the military industrial complex in Parchin were also struck.

Several warehouses in the Turquzabad area of Rey city in Tehran province were bombed. In 2018, Israel said it had obtained a large number of documents related to Iran’s nuclear program from warehouses in the area and removed them from Iran.

In the Fashafuyeh-Hassanabad area of Rey city, several targets were bombed. Residents told media that powerful secondary explosions occurred after the strikes.

The traffic police base in Qarchak city in Tehran province was also bombed Thursday afternoon. In southwest Tehran, a location near the district office of Baharestan city was targeted.

In Shahr-e Rey city, a site near the district office was bombed around noon on Thursday.

Other areas

From Thursday morning until midnight, the US and Israel also attacked several locations in Qazvin, Hamedan, Mazandaran, Isfahan, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, and Fars provinces using aircraft and missiles.

At noon Thursday, several locations in the Caspian, Leya, and Alborz industrial complexes in Qazvin city were repeatedly targeted. Iran’s official media reported that “in a village of Qazvin, an airstrike was carried out on ordinary people's homes.”

Near Hamedan city, several targets inside the Buali industrial town were bombed Thursday morning. Iranian official media said one of the locations struck was a “warehouse for powdered milk and medicine for chronic diseases,” which it said was completely destroyed.

In Behshahr city in Mazandaran province, three targets were struck by aircraft. One of the locations was reported to be a military base in the Safiabad area used for air surveillance operations.

At around 4:00 p.m., a building on Sheikh Saduq Street in Isfahan was attacked. Iranian media published video footage that appeared to show the building collapsing.

Thursday evening, Kish Island airport in southern Iran was again struck by missiles. Eyewitnesses said four missiles hit the airport. Since the beginning of the war, Kish airport has been repeatedly targeted.

Near Dezful in Khuzestan province, the Iranian army’s infantry barracks were also bombed.

Thursday night in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province, a site inside the Electronics Industrial Complex was struck.

Israeli and US statistics

The Israeli army said Thursday evening that during overnight and morning operations, more than 90 aircraft carried out two waves of attacks, dropping more than 200 bombs on targets in Iran.

According to the statement, missile launch bases, air defense positions, an army barracks, and Basij and police centers were among the sites targeted. It also said a facility dedicated to research on ballistic missile development was struck.

Pete Hegseth, the US secretary of defense, said Thursday that US and Israeli forces have so far bombed more than 15,000 targets inside Iranian territory.

Fourteen days have passed since the war between the US-Israel coalition and the Islamic Republic of Iran began, but the number of casualties in Iran and the Kurdish-majority provinces of western Iran (Rojhelat) has not yet been officially announced.

In Rojhelat, several civilians have been reported killed or injured, and a number of homes and shops belonging to ordinary residents have been damaged.

According to the latest statistics published Thursday by Iran’s Red Crescent, 36,593 houses, buildings, and non-military locations have been targeted in the attacks.

The Israeli army and US Central Command have said Iranian forces use non-military locations for military activities.
