ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - On the 15th day of the war, US and Israeli forces announced they had bombed several targets in Iran and Kurdish areas in western Iran (Rojhelat). Local administrative officials in the city of Ilam said a residential unit was struck, killing six members of one family. In Kermanshah province, the death of a mother and her child was also reported.

Rojhelat

Late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, several locations in Rojhelat were bombed.

On Saturday morning, a residential unit in the Jihad neighborhood in the city of Eyvan, Ilam province, was targeted. According to videos circulating online, the building suffered heavy damage. Tajeddin Salehian, Ilam’s deputy governor for political and security affairs, said the attack was carried out by a drone and resulted in the death of six members of one family, including a six-month-old infant.

The attacks also continued Saturday night. One of the sites targeted was Quds Camp, located near Sanandaj airport. The base had previously been used for training and cultural activities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In Kermanshah, at least two locations near Naft Square in the city center were bombed Saturday night. The area had been targeted several times in recent days. Intelligence, IRGC, and police bases are located near the square.

On Saturday, a mother and her child were killed in Kermanshah as a result of the attacks. The woman was identified as Faizeh Reyhani, and the child, Abra Zharfi, was two years old. Their home was located near one of the targeted areas.

Meanwhile, in Ravansar, also in Kermanshah province, a 15-year-old boy named Kian Moradi was killed in the strikes.

Iran

Throughout Saturday, US and Israeli aircraft flew over Tehran and several central Iranian cities. Some strikes were carried out by aircraft, while others were conducted using missiles and drones.

Several targets, particularly in the east and west of the Iranian capital, were bombed on Saturday. A military research center building in the Tarasht neighborhood and an industrial area in western Tehran were among the targets.

The Fars news agency, which is close to the IRGC, reported late Saturday night that a wrestling sports hall in Tehran’s Tehransar district had been bombed, but it did not mention other targets. The US and Israel accuse Iran of using civilian locations for military purposes.

Iran’s army and the IRGC said they had shot down several drones over Tehran on Saturday. According to the Iranian army, 116 US and Israeli drones have been downed since the start of the war.

In Isfahan, several air defense bases belonging to the IRGC and the army were bombed on Saturday.

Iranian state media reported that 15 workers were killed in an attack on a cooling and heating equipment manufacturing factory in an industrial town in Isfahan.

In Shahinshahr, also in Isfahan province, an IRGC command center was targeted.

A missile strike also targeted an Iranian naval base in Sirjan, Kerman province. Residents who recorded videos of the bombardment said multiple powerful explosions were heard after the strike.

At around 9 pm on Saturday, three warehouses belonging to Iran’s Ministry of Defense in Shiraz’s “Electronic Industries” complex were targeted, and explosions were heard across the city. Early Saturday morning, an Iranian air force base in Shiraz had also been struck.

Late Friday night and early Saturday morning, Kharg Island, located in southern Iran near the Persian Gulf, was heavily bombed. The head of Bushehr University of Medical Sciences said no casualties were reported from the attacks on the island.

Regarding the purpose of the attack, US President Donald Trump said that all military targets on Kharg Island had been destroyed. Several Iranian state media outlets reported that military bases were targeted on the island rather than oil infrastructure, adding that Iran’s oil industry did not suffer major damage.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told the media that the attacks on Kharg and Abu Musa islands were launched from the territory of the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, Nasser Atabati, the chief prosecutor of West Azerbaijan province, announced that 20 people had been arrested on charges of photographing military and security sites and providing information to Israel.

Police in Lorestan province said seven people have been arrested on suspicion of spying for the United States and Israel.

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence also announced that 25 people in Tehran and eight in Hamedan were arrested for allegedly cooperating with the US and Israel by filming security and military sites.
