Wave of Attacks Across Iraq

A wave of car bombs struck mainly Shiite neighbourhoods of Baghdad on Monday morning, killing at least 51 people and wounding dozens more, officials said.

One of the deadliest of the day's bombings was in the Shiite holy city of Kazimiyah, close to a parking lot and near a government building.

The blast left seven people dead and 18 injured, according to police.
