Army stops Ramadi homecoming, houses not safe yet

With ISIS out and guns silent, Ramadi residents are ready to go home and trickle back from here and there. Some of them are from Sadiqqia area.

But security forces do not give them passage. They say the area isn’t safe. Full of explosives left by ISIS

People have answered a gov’t call who said they could return. Provincial officials also invited people to come home

Large parts of the city were destroyed in the war that ended in December. And the few still standing remain empty

Residents accuse the army of not wanting them back.
