Coalition airstrikes hammer ISIS in Iraq and Syria

Erbil, Kurdistan Region - United States Central Command has announced that 21 airstrikes were carried out in the last 24 hours t in Iraq and Syria by the international coalition to fight the Islamic State, or ISIS.

According to a US statement, the airstrikes hit 14 different areas in Iraq, including the destruction of a massive bomb and a bomb-making factory in  the town of Hit, some 30km west of Ramadi in Anbar province.

Hit town is a strategic site that ISIS has used as a base in order to attack other areas of Iraq.

Coalition airstrikes also hit seven areas in Syria's ethnically Kurdish northeastern region around the liberated city of Kobane.
