Hundreds of ISIS militants killed in Salahadin province
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Iraqi joint forces have advanced towards areas east of the city of Samara in Salahadin province, killed 124 ISIS militants and destroyed dozens of armored vehicles, Mohammed Abbas, a Badr Organization commander, told Al-Sumaria News on Tuesday.
“The Iraqi joint forces, including the Iraqi Federal Police, keep advancing to deep areas west of Samara, capturing large territories,” said Abbas.
“In the aftermath of our advances, more than 70 ISIS militants were killed and nine car bombs destroyed,” he added.
Samara is located on the east bank of the Tigris River in Salahadin province, 125 kilometers north of Baghdad.
