Syrian Kurds stock up on fuel for coming winter

People in Syrian Kurdish areas (Rojava) have started stocking up on kerosene and heating oil for the coming winter.

They pay $20 for a barrel of fuel. It may seem no significant sum, but most people still can’t afford one barrel.

Six million liters of heating oil has been distributed in Qamishlo so far, but the city needs 27 million liters to get through the winter, local officials say.
