Hakkari slopes welcome tourists with thick snowfall

HAKKARI, Turkey - Hundreds of tourists visited Merga Botan highlands ski resort in Hakkari (Colemerg) province in southeast Turkey over the weekend. 

Located approximately 20 kilometers from the city center, the resort features 3.4 km of ski slopes.

The resort is well-equipped with amenities, including a hotel and a shopping center, ensuring a comfortable stay for visitors.

The resort features two ski slopes, 1,800 meters and 1,200 meters long, at 3,500 meters, connected by four cable car systems for easy access.

Many tourists visit daily through tours organized by tourism companies. Most visitors are local, but the number of foreign tourists have recently increased.
