Seven killed in restaurant explosion in western Turkey
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - An explosion took place in the Turkish western province of Aydin on Friday, resulting in the death of at least seven people, the governor said.
The explosion took place at a doner restaurant in Nazili district while the staff were replacing an empty gas cylinder which was used in the kitchen, Huseyin Aksoy, governor, told Anadolu Agency. He added that seven people were killed and five others injured, with one being in a serious condition.
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said an investigation has been launched into the incident, and Aksoy said that they have detained 10 people.
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that one of the injured has 80 percent burns.
