Kirkuk residents to join Rudaw's women in media training program

Rudaw Media Network, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is launching the fifth edition of its media training, this time specifically tailored for women from Kirkuk province. This initiative is part of a broader effort covering all cities within the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Over a span of 12 months, Rudaw Media Network and UNFPA will train over 300 women in the media sector across Iraq. In its first month the program targeted residents of Erbil, Baghdad residents in the second, then followed by those of Nineveh and Sulaimani. 

This training aims to translate into action Rudaw Media Network's strong commitment to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, established as a key global objective since 2015.

Registration for the program is open from April 2, 2024, to April 12, 2024.

Interested participants who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply by sending their CVs to the email address provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants should be in their final year of university studies or recent graduates.
  
- Proficiency in Kurdish and one other language is required.
  
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in media.
  
- Strong communication and writing skills.
  
- A strong desire to enhance the role and impact of women in the media sector.
  
- This training program is exclusively available to female applicants.
