ISIS only fears Israel, says German journalist after visit to the Caliphate

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region--Jurgen Todenhoder, the German journalist who was given a tour of the Islamic State earlier this year, says in an interview that the only country the group fears is Israel.

In the interview with the British Jewish News outlet on Sunday, Todenhofer revealed that, "The only country ISIS fears is Israel. They told me they know the Israeli army is too strong for them."

"They think they can defeat US and UK ground troops, who they say have no experience in city guerrilla or terrorist strategies," he explained. "But they know the Israelis are very tough as far as fighting against guerrillas and terrorists [is concerned]."

The terrorist group, according to Todenhoder, would love to pin down American and British ground forces in a protracted urban war, "In Mosul there are 10,000 fighters living among 1.5 million people in 2,000 apartments, not in one place - so it would be difficult to fight them. ISIS fighters are ready to die in a war against western soldiers."

The journalists remarks come shortly after ISIS's "Caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi issued a video communique in which he threatened Israel claiming, "We are getting closer to you day by day," before going on to add, "Palestine will be your graveyard."
