ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – A Turkmen professor, Ali Yilmaz, at the University of Kirkuk was shot and killed on Tuesday.
“Today on Tuesday on the Kirkuk-Baghdad road some unknown armed men shot at a law department professor at the University of Kirkuk. He lost his life,” Lieutenant Colonel Afrasiaw Kamil Waisi, Kirkuk police spokesperson, told Rudaw.
No one has been arrested yet and an investigation is underway.
