Voter turnout in Baghdad is low, Rudaw’s Halkawt Aziz reported from a neighborhood in Karhk on the western side of the Iraqi capital.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. Two hours later, Aziz reported seeing only 10 voters at the polling station

There are 4,432 people registered to vote at the station.

In the Kurdistan Region, correspondents reported technical problems and polling stations not opening on time.

The polls are scheduled to close at 6 p.m.

An estimated 24,349,000 people are eligible to cast a ballot across Iraq. The number of voters in the Kurdistan Region is about 3,140,000.
