The 2nd International Sulaimani Film Festival (ISFF) commenced at 06:00pm on Sunday, featuring a red carpet ceremony and special screening of a Spanish language feature film.

The red carpet ceremony started at Talari Huner Art Gallery in Sulaimani.

The main hall seats 1,700 people but Program Manager Lina Raza said they were expecting at least 2,000 people to attend. The special screening of an international feature film The Pink House by Director Palito Ortega Matute began at 8 p.m.

The Festival has been affected by the flight ban that was imposed on the Kurdistan Region's two international airports whereby some foreign guests were unable to attend the event.
