ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Iraqi MP and Kurdish Yezidi Vian Dakhil told Rudaw on Sunday that 5,820 Kurdish Yezidis are held as hostages under ISIS control, and nearly 2,200 have been rescued.

“The 2,200 that have been rescued include 800 women and children with a few men,” she added.

She also said she will participate in an international conference in France in October titled “Violence and Genocide.”

Dakhil will present in the conference on the violence and genocide that ISIS has carried out against Kurdish Yezidis, proved with documents, so the world and International Criminal Court (ICC) recognizes ISIS’ genocide against Kurdish Yezidis.
