ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Major snowfall starting from Sunday covered many areas in the Kurdistan region, including the Sulaimani, Erbil, Duhok and Halabja provinces, halting normal civilian life in some areas.
All flights from and to the Sulaimani International Airport were halted by its administration due to the bad weather, airport authorities told Rudaw.
