Volunteers get their hands dirty for ‘World Cleanup Day’
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Volunteers united their efforts in Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaimani on Saturday to free the Kurdistan Region of trash on World Cleanup Day.
Nishtiman Youth Network (NYN) partnered with World Cleanup Day organizers, Let's Do It, and Yalla.
This is the second time the Kurdistan Region has participated in World Cleanup Day – a global, apolitical, social action programme with millions of volunteers across 150 countries participating. It aims to combat the solid waste problem globally.

Sponsors included the Environmental Department of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF).
