18-year-old Zaytun Qadir was killed by an Iranian bombing on her home on July 10.

Two of her brothers were also injured. She was preparing lunch when the bombs struck.

Iranian artillery shelling has struck Erbil province villages that border Iran.

Despite the perilous conditions, some villagers feel compelled to return to their evacuated villages to reap the harvest of their land - in some cases, so that they can earn enough money to pay their landlords for land they have sublet.
