Kurds in Erbil staged a concert on Monday, to raise awareness about the Sykes-Picot agreement, the Anglo-French deal signed a centenary ago that imprisoned Kurds behind newly-drawn frontiers.
Peshmerga and Kurdish officials attended the concert.
Prominent Kurdish musician and singer Sivan Perwer told Rudaw that the concert was meant to tell the story of Sykes-Picot.
Kurdish Parties from Iranian Kurdistan also attended the concert.
Meanwhile, speaking to Rudaw at the European Film Festival in Sulaimani on Monday, Marc Eichhorn, the German Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, said that the Sykes-Picot agreement was a mistake that decided "the fate of Kurdish People."
