Nimrud, the ancient Assyrian city 30 km south of Mosul was liberated by the Iraqi army earlier this month, and with it was revealed the scale of the damage ISIS militants did to the place in 2015.
ISIS militants demolished many other ancient sites in Nineveh including Yezidi temples and Christian churches.
