KOBANI, Rojava Region — Three fighters of the Peoples' Protection Unit (YPG) were reportedly killed after blasts hit the ethnically Kurdish town of Kobani in Rojava region of Syria, said a Rudaw reporter at the scene Monday.
Rudaw’s Omer Kalo reported that the blast went off in a depot being used to store weapons and ammunition seized from Islamic State militants that reportedly killed three YPG fighters. The YPG statement about the explosion has yet to be released, but technical issues have been reported as the cause of the blast.
