More than 50 Arabic publishing houses from different Arab countries are showcasing books on philosophy, culture and politics at the November 6-15 Arabic Istanbul Book Fair, held for the first time. Many at the fair welcomed the event, saying it reflects the growing interest in Arabic books in Turkey.

"At the fair, we see the number of Arabs in Turkey is on the rise. We seek to trade and publish Arabic books. More than 50 publishing houses are taking part from multiple countries including Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and several others," Muhammed Saed head of the fair, told Rudaw.
