Fire breaks out in Istanbul textile workshop

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A large fire broke out in an industrial building in Istanbul on Friday, state media reported.

The fire burned the top floor of a 1,000 square meter textile workshop in Sultanbeyli, a district of Istanbul, Anadolu Agency reported.

Multiple firefighting teams battled the blaze for about six hours before bringing it under control. Emergency teams are still working at the scene.

The cause of the fire has not been announced. No casualties have been reported.

On Tuesday, at least 76 people died in a devastating fire that engulfed a ski resort in Bolu province, northern Turkey.
