NEW YORK – New York is well known for its thriving film industry and range of museums, but a recent study shows that the city’s creative sector has bloomed over the last decade.
Job growth in finance and law have stagnated, but according to a think-tank in New York the creative industry has boosted employment by 13 percent.
Many in the industry attribute this growth to the city’s cosmopolitan nature, but fear that there’s a lack of diversity in the field, and some think this could harm the creative sector in the long run.
